2026 Good Furry Award Nominees
Image Award Nominees
Bearly Furcasting is a podcast hosted by Bearly Normal and Taebyn primarily. Over the past like 6+ years it has been a steadfast pillar of positivity for online members of the fandom to get a taste of just how friendly furs can be! Frequently casting live from cons, too, they engage the community, promote new events, highlight creatives, and more! I think they'd make a great nominee, and would be the first podcast team to win I think! Bearly and Taebyn have also been great friends to myself, and I am definitely giving them my full support this year :)
BetaEtaDelota (note: Beta was nominated in 2024, too): Beta has been an inspiring member of the furry community for many years. After getting their start as a furry content creator, they have grown into an advocate for all walks of life. Beta frequents furry conventions where they have hosted entertaining and informative panels that bring people together and motivate people to be true to themselves. Despite hardships over the years, they have endured and have proven stronger than ever. Beta is a beacon of positive growth and pure willpower.
(Group Nomination) "I'm Definitely Not a Popufur": Punk and Sawd are the cohosts of this YouTube show/podcast, and they work very hard on it. In the podcast, they reach out to many furries within the community and listen to their stores on how they joined the fandom, what makes them tick, and their endeavors both in and out of the fandom.
KuddlePup: K.P. has been the spokesfur for Anthrocon for years. He always, no matter where or when, presents the fandom in a positive light. He is well spoken, and always seems to be in a good mood. He know how to deal with the press, and just is an all around good fur.
Raeal the Protogen: Raeal is a Twitch streamer, often engaging with his audience and keeping everyone's hearts high with good laughs and even doing charity streams at times with his good friends. He gets a good kick out of the clips his audience sends and posts them, showing that his audience has a great sense of humor, too.
Roochi Lexico: I've had the pleasure to know Roochi for a number of years, but it wasn't until recently when we started a VRChat group called "Beans at Play" that I've been able to see even more just how much time and effort he puts in each week to making sure others have a safe and fun environment to relax in. It isn't just in VR that he adds to the community but maybe other projects. Cited in last year's nomination: "Since 2010 he hosted the podcast Fur What It's Worth, talking about various Furry topics in both a casual and genuinely educational format since 2010. Dr. Courtney 'Nuka' Plante, lead analyst of Furscience, is a regular cast member who uses the show for outreach. This show has inspired many Furries to join the Fandom! Roochi is a frequent streamer, who together with Firkle enjoy highlighting other members of the community." On a personal note, I've seen the that whether in front of a group or one on one, he genuinely cares about others. Taking on others' problems and concerns, he bends over backwards OFTEN to make sure EVERYONE feels included. Often hiding from the limelight when he comes to praise, he truly is an unsung hero and a pillar in the communities he's a part of.
Sotalo: As the creator and curator of the Virtual Furry Museum on VRchat, Sotalo has dedicated hundreds of hours to providing an accessible, thoughtfully researched history of the fandom. He elevates other furry artists and community voices, educates, and engages positively with furries and non-furries alike from a place of genuine love for knowledge. In an age where misinformation often dominates, Sotalo remains steadfast in providing consistently reliable and accurate information. His work has brought together so many people to engage in compassionate, thoughtful conversations, which truly speaks to the spirit of what this fandom is about: Community. Now more than ever, so many of our community members endure censorship and discrimination for their identities and passions, even from within the fandom itself. Sotalo continuously shines light on the positive aspects of our fandom, and encourages cooperation, communication, and empathy. He makes time for difficult conversations, even with those he disagrees with, and in doing so, builds bridges that bring our community closer together. I honestly can’t think of anyone better suited to preserving and teaching our fandom’s history than Sotalo. He is kind, informative, responsible, and an invaluable resource to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He is a constant reminder of what makes this fandom so wonderful. He isn’t just a good furry; he’s a great one.
(Group Nomination) Straight from the Muzzle: Debuting in 2018, this biweekly podcast is run by a team including the furries SpaceBear Sparks, Paradox, Deer Dog, Byx, and Kyra Stoat. The podcast is an amazing influence in the furry fandom! The content includes everything from helpful tips to lighthearted rants to deep discussions, and the team members share it in an inclusive and engaging way. They've built a tight-knit community of listeners who are all supportive of each other, creating enjoyable and safe spaces for everyone in the community to ask questions, help each other, and just be themselves. This podcast has proven it can give back to the community, and they have also played a key role in how I started getting involved in the fandom, helping me start to overcome my fear of judgment.
Nomination 2: The people who do this podcast are some of the nicest you'll ever meet. They cover real topics and problems faced by most furries. The podcast is fun, informative and relevant to the issues of the day.
(Note: Straight from the Muzzle was also nominated last year)

Furtastic Award Nominees
Irix is the creator of the taidum species and the fun, goofy VRChat avatar of the same name as well as many others! The community that has sprung up around Irix’s creations is nothing short of amazing; people have found friends, chosen family, and even partners because of his lifelong interest in 3D modeling. Irix himself is an extremely nice guy and does a great job in making people feel like they have a place they can be themselves and have fun within his community. Personally, the taidum is my absolute favorite VRChat avatar and his community meetups are some of the highlights of my week. I joined his community in mid 2023 after a long period of decline in my interest in social VR and things immediately began to turn around. He and his community gave me the feeling I had when I first tried VR and showed me that things could be fun again. For his amazing community, his extraordinary contributions to the Furry Fandom by creating avatars and species that are loved by thousands, and his overall friendly and approachable demeanor which makes everyone around him feel accepted, I believe Irix absolutely fits the bill for a Good Furry Award! I hope you do too!
(Group nomination) PS Furmeets, headed by Pawsouls, has been a major factor in bringing community together in the New Jersey area and beyond. From events ranging from smaller art gatherings to larger parties at Dave and Busters and even larger scale weekend meetups through "The Big One", the team has done some truly excellent work. In the years since starting up, the mission of the furmeet team is bringing New Jersey and surrounding areas together, and they have by all means succeeded. Even when strife and drama have been affecting various events with parts of the community, PS and company have created a safe harbor to escape and offer proper calm. Through both in-person places and virtual networks such as the Telegram channel, the team fosters a true sense of community while bringing joy to those who join in with them. As mentioned in last year's nomination, the crew is spearheaded by the eponymous Pawsouls, who has been leading all manner of furmeets and events for several years starting with the Dave and Busters meets. Despite facing adversity recently, she has remained an inspiring leader who has only helped to grow the furmeet team and attendee numbers.
Polar Pop is one of the most amazing beans I’ve been around. He helps me through all the dark times. he streams on twitch and has an amazing following everyone in his chat is just as equally deserving for the award, but he will always be there to help out anyway he can. if he could, he would donate to any fundraiser. he’s always there to put a smile on your face. His chaotic energy and friendly demeanor is always pleasant to be around. He’s definitely in my definition furtastic.
Shy Matsi: They are a wonderful bean and a great friend. We met at my 2nd MFF and was incredibly kind when I was having a terrible time. They kept my account request to furries Xtream from being rejected out of hand. They do a lot of useful things in many different groups, including a YouTube channel at Shy Matsi - YouTube. They are a great friend, a fantasic bean, and deserve recognition for how amazing they are. (Chair note: Shy was nominated in 2021, when they went by the fursona name Hila Hila Bear.
Nomination 2: This bean has done many great things to help bring awareness to Furs of colors, whether it be through social media awareness of by helping out with events during furcons. I believe that Shymatsi is a furtastic beans for these reasons as well as being an extremely friendly bean to be around.
Nomination 3: ShyMatsi has poured a lot of energy into hosting community events, bringing people together, and trying to help as many people as he can. He'd been a volunteer to dozens of Furry conventions, runs a large furmeet in NJ, and assists with smaller groups and events. Furry for over 30 years, he's acted selflessly as a community leader, much to the chagrin of less accepting critics. He started the convention FA United in 2007. He's made many silly videos on Tik Tok garnering a significant audience of over 6.2k followers. Being a pansexual African American Fur of Color, Shymatsi has discussed issues with masculinity in Black culture and how gender norms are breaking down through the Virtual Furry Museum.

Taxx the Rat: On top of hosting furry parties at his place in New Jersey, Taxx puts the fun in funeral, k*lling people with dad jokes and memes. He makes sure everyone feels included at his parties that feature movie watching with live commentary from guests and Taxx himself, which he dubs Fursey Flicks. When he's not throwing watch parties, he's putting others before himself, always willing to lend a hand to someone in need, such as when I was going through a dark time in my life, he was a shoulder for me to cry on. Taxx is the life of any room he walks in, and people walk away feeling better than before he entered. He even inspires others to be better to each other, and to uplift one another. Taxx may not be a veteran furry with a decades long resume, but he makes up for that by living in the present and always looking to the future. I am honored to know him, and I want to share such a wonderful furry with the rest of you.
Good Egg Award Nominees
(Group nomination) Comrades & Ops is a VRChat focused social group that formed as a way to help beat tensions and depression caused by the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. In the years since then, they have provided opportunities for socialization, which has been especially helpful for others who might not be able to attend in-person events or conventions. While the logo implies that the group is about war games and intense video games, it's much more than that. The group has been a huge promoter of events in and out of VRChat--such as the largest online furry convention in the world known as Furality--as well as smaller online events like CozyCon. Even in-person events, such as Ontario's Furnal Equinox, have been bolstered and promoted through C&O. Beyond social events, C&O has lent support to furries in need, bringing awareness to topics like suicide prevention, as well as promotion of healthy lifestyles by joining with wellness groups as well as virtual fitness groups. The moderation team, which includes Commander A9/Chevronthewolf, Scottish Gamer, NoxtheSergal, and RiksyFox, do solid work within their own events like weekly VR social gaming, as well as opportunities for others to connect through more casual events. Others have since joined as moderation for their official server on Discord. Overall, they have fostered a safe and fun environment that values strong friendship, cooperation, and trust. Their main meeting place within VRC, the Aquatix Haven, has even paid tribute to those in and out of the fandom, including those who have departed.
Furgeddaboutit (group nomination; ed note: this furcon group was also nominated last year): The Furgeddaboutit team has been a truly inspiring, entertaining, and creative presence in the New Jersey furry community. From the very beginning, this con has strived to give NJ furs an event to truly be proud of. And they have done exactly that. Starting as a collective effort between staff from conventions and furmeet groups in and near to New Jersey (like Anthro Outdoor Adventures, Pinefurs, Furrydelphia, Furgen County, and Furst State), Furg showed that with REAL community cooperation and collaboration, great things are possible. The result of their efforts in 2025 brought in 638 attendees and over $8k for NJ-based charity Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in Medford. Now, as their own independent organization, the con has grown to a true powerhouse event, that still comprises of leaders from the various furmeet groups in NJ mentioned previously. Their work stands out among the rest as pure altruism. Following their debut in 2025, newly appointed con chair, Osiris, established Furg as a 501(c)(3) which makes it the first nonprofit furry convention/multi-day event in NJ in a long time. In 2026 and beyond, they've grown to include a dedicated build team that constructs wild and wacky set pieces to liven up the con space up, and provide guests with photo ops galore; a standalone Charity Department that handles collection of item donations for Charity Auction, bucket parades with fursuiters, panels with the chosen charity, and collaborating with various guest fundraisers during the con--and even a game room that hosts an MTG challenge with rewards like exclusive Furgeddaboutit-brand tokens. Furgeddaboutit has even earned the respect of larger cons from other states like Massachusetts, Virginia, and Oklahoma. For a scrappy new con, they certainly have proven themselves 20 times over as a true community-centric event and organization that NJ can be proud of.
Luna: They have done a lot of activism outside the fandom and do a lot of work helping minorities who need more recognition in this fandom.
Myrishi Pandalion: Myrishi is a dedicated event host and writer who’s been hosting fursuit meetups across Los Angeles. He leads PAWSADENA FUREVENTS, which includes the monthly Rose Bowl Furmeet (RBFM) in Pasadena/Los Angeles and Team Lead of PAWSIENDA BITES. He’s also very caring and generous by his deeds and actions, truly helping those in need. Someone who stands by his word and delivers through, who’s making the Fandom a welcoming place for attendees of all ages. Myrishi deserves the recognition of bringing SoCal Furries together in a safe and fun environment. He supports local charities, and he participates in the annual ALS United Orange County Walk.
Paco Panda: For over 25 years, Paco Panda has created over 3,300 Furry illustrations as sketches, commissions, gifts, and formal advertisements produced for Furry conventions around the world. An educated full-time Fandom artist, Paco's art, books, and merchandise are heralded for their timeless quality and extraordinary appeal. But beyond his success as a career artist, he's also hosted panels at different Furry conventions, going above and beyond to help, reach, and inspire others. At the request of the commissioner, he reopened a previously finished art piece to replace someone's ex with himself. During COVID, he drew 106 Furries holding hands in a giant map of the world. His demeanor has always been kind and generous in person. Always finding ways to make time for others and travel to many conventions, even amid a tremendous amount of stress, his kindness remains a treasured rarity. It is with great honor I submit this nomination for someone who's served one of the longest-standing pillars for the Furry fandom. For his incredible art, kindness, impact, and a multitude of significant Furry contributions, I'm proud to nominate Paco Panda for the 2026 Good Furry Awards.
Pawsouls: They have created a safe and fun environment at there meetups and convention they created The Big One. I've always had a great time and made a lot of friends at there meetups.
[Last year's nomination]: Pawsouls is the mind behind PS Furmeets, a group dedicated to furry gatherings across New Jersey. Her most ambitious event, The Big One, turned out to be a huge success in spite of personal struggles at the time. Before TBO, Pawsouls had previously worked hard as staff at numerous conventions, making connections with other staffers and promoting a sense of goodwill. All the while, she was leading a variety of furmeets since 2018, which have since grown bigger in size and scope. She has also been a positive role model and influence in other communities outside of the furry fandom, including video gaming and Pokemon.

Pawsouls and Team: Pawsouls and their team have done an enormous amount of work for the NJ furry community. Consistently and reliably since 2018, Paw and their team have held accessible, affordable, and diverse meets, cons, and events. The team has fostered a safe space for all and collaborated with many other non-profits like Project REAL. The Big One, was also created 2 years ago as a way to give back to the local community by creating a NJ furmeet that had all the benefits of a con, but on a smaller and more intimate level. It’s clear that Paw’s goal is to give back to the world in a way that can only be described as selfless and kind. Everyone involved with their team knows that goal, and puts 110% into it. When I moved to NJ, I was unsure of what the furry scene would be like, but they accepted me with open arms!
Shetani: Shetani helped organize Eufuria 2025 which raised over $4,000 for a local nonprofit therapy and advocacy organization, as well as focused on fundraising for the conservation of cheetahs.
MANGO PEACH THE AXOLLAMA
(Chair note: I call Mango Peach the Axollama [formerly Hunter Fusky] the Susan Lucci of the Good Furry Awards because he has been nominated more times than any other furry, yet he has yet to win the grand prize. He has been nominated every year except in 2025, when he asked not to be on the list [a wee bit discouraged, and who can blame him?] So, this year, I am displaying the nomination texts he received this year PLUS all the good things people have said about him since 2020.)
(Most recent nomination--May 7, 2026): Mango is one of the sweetest kindest people I know. They do so much for their community that it’s wrong he hasn’t won this award yet. A few years ago, a furry group decided to shun him and make false accusations of nasty and unthinkable things just because they didn’t like him and even though all that bullying, manipulation and drama happened to try to make him end his own life, he decided to go out of his way to help people smile. He’ll even send every penny he has just to make sure others are happy, healthy, and fed, even though he doesn’t have a job and doesn’t earn enough to make a living. Mango is and always will be a good egg, and I’ve yet to meet anyone on this planet who deserves to have even the smallest victory. I hope if not this year but one to come, people get the opportunity to meet Mango and experience for themselves what a wonderful person he is. Thank you, Mango, for being my friend and my light in this world!
Mango Peach: Mango Peach is definitely by all means a good furry. He has done so much for his community and goes beyond to help others. He volunteers at awu, LVFC, BLFC, and MFF to help his friends. This year he got a job at our local Arby’s and is looking to improve things in the community to help make it a safer area for the community. I believe Mango has been nominated multiple times in the past. I know he doesn't want to be nominated, but I think he definitely deserves a chance to win.
2026 second nomination: I was made aware of this by them, and ive seen that hes been nominated alot in the past, i think he should get a real win this time! Hes apperently really gone above and beyond and is such a good bean, and in the short time ive known him, a really fun friend!
2026 third nomination: Mango is an outstanding and wonderful person whose whole goal in life is to help others. He’s been falling on a hard times as of lately with quitting his job to get away from a toxic environment. But yet he still finds a way to help others smile. [He is] the kindest sweetest, most charitable person I know. One of the most amazing things I’ve seen him do lately: He was at his previous job. He helped somebody that had a severe stutter and couldn’t communicate with him, so he got a custom menu to give to that customer and help him out; the customer replied to him, saying that nobody else at any restaurant would do what Mango did for them.
2026 fourth nomination: He’s a great guy has helped me through many a dark time. Is always there for me and people around us; he’s the most caring llama I’ve ever known.
Nominations in the Past:
2020 Winner of Honorable Mention (honorable mentions are still eligible for the main award): Hunter also received several nominations for his kindness and community spirit. "He'll go out of his way to put a smile on your face, and he'll sacrifice his own happiness to make you happy," said one furry. "I honestly have never met anyone as kind-hearted and pure as Hunter Fusky." Hunter was also praised for volunteering to extinguish a wildfire that claimed 60 homes, helping to build a playground for kids with special needs, helping to build a home for an elderly widow, working at two retirement homes, and "painting rocks with people's fursonas as a free gift for all their sacrifices and time."
2020 2nd nomination for Hunter Fusky: Hunter also received several nominations for his kindness and community spirit. 2021 Received NINE Nominations:
- This person has done so much for my city and community. Last year during the pandemic he volunteered at the local food bank to make sure the homeless and those in need had a meal on their plate. He tends to keep to himself and he keeps telling everyone he becomes friends with “the only thing that matters is making others happy”. I could go on and on and on listing all the things he has done for everyone he has met. He has made a reputation in our community and is loved by everyone. You will never see him without a smile on his face. He truly is a good person and will not stop until the world is a happier place.
- Hunter Fusky (nomination 2): Hunter is one of the kindest sweetest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I have known him my whole life and he has done nothing but give his heart out to the community. He stands for making anyone and everyone happy. Though we haven’t talked in a few years I’ve seen all he has done for the furry community and the city he lives in. He is one person you would want to be by your side when you are sad or need a friend. He has been doing art for others and pays out of his pocket to send it out. He never ask for anything out of greed and is always looking to find ways to cheer everyone up.
- Hunter Fusky (nomination 3): Hunter tries hard to make sure everyone he meets has a smile on their face; even in these hard times. He is a loyal friend and person. He is kind and caring and would do anything to help fellow friends and furries. As examples he gives car rides to friends without hesitation, and without want of re-payment. He simply does so just to be thoughtful. He strives for and mostly achieves his lifelong goal of making everyone around him laugh, smile and cheerful. Many times in the past I myself have felt sad and down. But I know if there is one person to cheer me up it would be Hunter Fusky; and I'd never hesitate to call on him with anything I needed help with, even if it was just for a good smile and laugh with a kind and caring person.
- Hunter Fusky (nomination 4): Honestly if you haven’t read Hunter’s nominations last year or know anything about him, he is the sweetest, kindest soul you’ll ever meet. He’s raised money for walk to cure ALS, built houses for charity, and has even volunteered to put out raging wildfires in Pocatello Idaho. Last year in 2020, he helped raise money to help find a cure for the coronavirus. He’s currently working on trying to make the fandom a better place by making art for those who can’t afford it. He paints their fursonas on rocks and pays out of his pocket to ship them out. Hunter is one of the purest souls you’ll ever meet. He does all he can to cheer up anyone and everyone who is having a bad day. He created a new breed of furry to help make others smile. It’s a cross between an axolotl and a llama. He calls it a axollama. Its main goal is to cheer everyone up who is sad or in need of a friend.
- Hunter Fusky (nomination 5): If you haven’t heard of or met Hunter, I suggest that you take a moment to read about him or get to know him. I’ve been friends with him for a few years now, and I’m surprised of how dedicated he is to make others happy and how dedicated he is to help out the community. He’s done everything from working at a homeless shelter to working at a retirement center and helping those in need. Hunter is the most absolute kindest soul I’ve ever met. He even has plans for if he ever passed away that he’d get a tombstone that would bring joy to everyone that sees it. His life quote is, “The happiest moment of my life is making others smile.” Hunter helped me through good and bad times and is always there to help me whenever I need him there.
- Hunter Fusky (nomination 6): I've always led an existence of having to be aggressive to even get the most basic respect from anyone, and as a result when I first met Fusky, I could tell he had a way bigger heart than I ever did as he never got aggressive and kept a smile on his face and brought a smile to mine every time we talked. He's a positive presence and an amazing listener, makes me laugh all the time, and he's such a great friend in general I can't even begin to describe how incredible he is. I despise the way positive people like him get taken advantage of, a good heart like his should be preserved for eternity. (That's why I recorded his brainwaves to code into a robot Fusky on the off chance we lose his amazing soul too soon). ALSO HE GIVES GREAT SNUGGLES.
- Hunter Fusky (nomination 7): Hunter is a caring and loving partner and without him I'd be lost. He's amazing; his personality has the power to raise the sun in the night and raise the moon when the times right. He's amazing and I wouldn't change anything about this amazing cutie.
- Hunter Fusky (nomination 8): Hunter is one of the generous and heart felt furries I know. I met Hunter on vr chat recently and he’s gone through hell and back just to make people happy. He’s been beaten and tattered mentally and still finds a way to make everyone smile and keep a smile on his face. I’ve never met anyone with a heart as pure as his. He tells everyone around him that the most important thing in the universe is their happiness. But truthfully he deserves to be happy more then anyone else.
- Hunter Fusky (nomination 9): Hunter is one of the most kind-hearted people I know. He has no YouTube or any popular channels and dosen't like to be recognized in the fandom. He’d rather you be happy than receive praise from anyone. He’s helped people and is always there to help when needed. Hunter is the bestest and definitely deserves to win this year.
2022 Nomination:
2023 Nomination: Mango Peach the Axollama (formerly Hunter Fusky): For their volunteer work building homes and also playgrounds for disabled children, as well as donating plasma and rescuing a victim of abuse who was in a life-threatening situation. Mango is one of the kindest furries I know. He always goes out of his way to help others even if it means his own happiness. He just moved to Kentucky and is trying to help others out there. He’s been going through some terrible times for example his mother just got diagnosed with cancer and he’s going to be loosing his new apartment. If anyone deserves this award it’d definitely be him. (GFA admin note: this is the fourth time Mango Peach has been nominated!)
--Mango always strives to help others when needed; even when he himself faces hardships, he never wavers and continues to make people smile and laugh. Mango is a very devoted friend and has helped some of his closest friends when we've been depressed and down...
2024 Nominations: "Mango is one of the most kind and caring souls. He will go out of his way to make sure you have a good and healthy life filled with happiness. He has just moved back with his family and already helped with church and community volunteer work. He has volunteered to help place tombstones in the local cemetery and helped with the Light the World project. As for his friends, he’ll always be there for them in thick and thin. If you’re having a horrible day, he’ll put your happiness above his own. He just started streaming on Twitch and already has a huge following of people who love him and care for him. He’s been nominated for this award multiple times, and I’ll keep nominating until he wins. He’s currently trying to find a job so he can help out more in his community, and he’s volunteering at his brother’s live theatre."
(2nd nomination): Mango is one of the most exemplary people I know. He’s going out of his way to make sure there’s food in the homeless shelters and makes sure people can get rides to where they need to be. He has no job or stable income but is always putting others before him. Mango is one person you need to meet and have in your life. He’s kind, sweet, caring, and will make sure you have a wonderful day.
