GOOD EGG AWARD

This award recognizes those who do extensive charitable and volunteer work for furries or nonfurries.
Alkali Bismuth
Alkali Bismuth: Alkali was one of the founding members of Fur Squared, and his involvement with other conventions has gone virtually unrecognized. Everything from comedy shows such as "Who's Lion Is It Anyway?" to actually saving Indy Fur Con from going under when they suffered from a severe staff shortage back in 2023. He has raised $1,000s for charity and is well loved by the entire fandom, enough so that he has traveled and performed at other conventions outside of the USA. He is directly credited to the growth of the furry fandom

Black Silk
Black Silk: He demonstrates exceptional dedication both within and beyond the fandom. He works with individuals with developmental disabilities, showing compassion, patience, and professionalism in his day-to-day career. Within the furry community, he actively supports conventions and their staff teams—so much so that at one event, despite my being his lead, he put in more work than I did. His reliability, heart, and work ethic make him a standout member of our community.

David “DaiCyrmu” Lakin
David “DaiCyrmu” Lakin:  David has been involved in leadership roles with major conventions in the U.K., Canada, and the U.S. He’s been on staff at Scotiacon and staff lead liaison for “Guest of Honor” attendees at major furry conventions such as Furnal Equinox in Toronto and Anthro New England in Boston. This year, DaiCyrmu is embarking on something new that will bring happiness to furries in his part of the world: he’s in charge of creating a new furcon called Aberacon in Port Talbot, Wales. As the fandom reaches all parts of the world, furries help bring different ideas, cultures, and customs together by making a furry convention not just a fun gathering of anthropormorphic arts enthusiasts, but also by helping to foster understanding of one another in a safe environment. DaiCymru represents that philosophy 100%, and along with his wisdom and knowledge, he will definitely make Aberacon a smashing success. He is there to listen, gives a helping dog paw (and a floppy shep ear) to his friends going through times of need. He’s someone you want to be with, a true friend indeed. His love for aviation and travelling are detailed by his amazing photography and comprehensive essay journals on FA. I can’t think of someone more deserving as this fine young man, who’s a dedicated, loving, and supportive German Shepard at heart. I’m proud to honor this person as my nominee.

Gadget and Gizmo with Jay the GryphonGadget and Gizmo flank Jay the Gryphon.
Gadget and Gizmo: Gadget and Gizmo have been stewards of good will and charity in the community for nearly a decade. They routinely give back to the community through their artwork and mascoting experience. Most recently, they helped the donation drive at Furgeddaboutit, a convention in New Jersey. The work they put in inspired people to donate over $120 to the charity bucket in less than an hour, adding to a total of $8k+ raised for Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge. Their drive to uplift others cannot be disputed, and they are widely celebrated for their creativity and positive energy.

San Diego Furries logo
San Diego Furries: They have been hosting meets since around 2012 and have provided a place of support, comfort, and community for many people. The admins have been great with making people feel included and heard, and no one feels less than someone else at these events. They are able to bring so many people together and make lifelong memories, especially since most of their meets are completely free of charge to make sure anyone can participate. They participate in activities like the San Diego Pride Parade's and help with smaller groups like the UCSD Furries "Triton Tails." The host (Chance the Dragon) has been an exceptional member in the fandom and was able to make so many people feel so welcome and right at home. Which is why I want to nominate all the people who run and make the meets so special for the Good Furry Award.

Tetris Addison Hill
  • Tetris (Addison Hill): She was the head for last years charity duo at Golden State Furcon and did an incredible job earning over 10k for charity. She's been leading the cencal group Furry Frenzy with love and fun making sure all ages of furries have a super safe accepting space to have fun and socialize. For her job, she is a bus driver for children and is super kind and makes sure to take care of all her kiddos. She provides so much support for our small furry community here, organizing all ages safe meets, bringing furry representation to all of the pride festivals we have here and educating people on what we are, and providing extra support for those of us in her group with autism, anxiety, and depression.
  • Second nomination: Tetris is a very good caring furry that includes everyone including of all ages, helps out, does the most that they can do for their community especially for furries and lgbtq+. Also loves her job and helping the children she works with.

Thabo Meerkat
Thabo Meerkat (aka Pegla): Thabo is the definition of a good person. He always watched over and cares for the people who are having a bad time. I got to meet him when I lost 100% of my voice during a con and he took me along the whole day.
His heart is absolutely at the right place. He's basically the charity chairman of Europe. And no, I am not exaggerating, he is THE face of charity at about 5 to 10 cons. Last February he got his head shaved on stage at Nordic Fuzz Con. As he set that as a fundraiser goal. And it went big. Not only that, but he has a weekly YouTube show called "digging up positivity". Here he calls out all charities fundraisers that happened in the fandom that week. Bot small and big fundraisers are called out. And at the end of the year, he does a big tally. In that show he also gives highlights to unique furry creations and actions. And at the end of the show, he invites someone interesting to interview and highlight what they do. And I also know he frequent hospitals in his suit to visit ill children and brighten their days.

IMAGE AWARD

This award recognizes those who project a positive image of the furry fandom through the media.
Andreecko: As a reader and member of the furry community, I wanted to express my appreciation for an article in Andreecko's game corner, one of the popular gaming newsrooms in Greece, highlighting critical issues and incidents involving groups such as the Furry Raiders. This news is incredibly valuable as it helps raise awareness about threats that can compromise the inclusivity and safety of our community. By shedding light on problematic behaviors and criminal activities within specific groups, this reporting equips individuals and organizers with essential knowledge to protect themselves and others. It empowers our community to proactively uphold the values of tolerance and respect while remaining vigilant against harmful elements. I have to thank him again for his insightful and responsible journalism. It genuinely contributes to the wellbeing and integrity of the furry community.
The article is in Greek (use translator).
Aurelina
Aurelina: An absolute beacon of furry-integral media preservation with a channel that is approachable to fur and non-fur alike. I feel like we’d lose so much nostalgia and history vital to what drew many of us into the community without someone like Aurelina not only preserving, but SHARING what she does. Visit her YouTube channel at (10) Furry Found Footage - YouTube and her BlueSky page at Furry Found Footage➡️LVFC (@furryfootage.bsky.social) — Bluesky.

Digging Up Positivity
Digging Up Positivity by Thabo Meerkat: This YouTube channel hosted by Thabo Meerkat highlights charitable activities and other wonderful deeds performed by furries and furry organizations all over the world. In a world where furries are often either getting grief from normies or even criticizing themselves, "Digging Up Positivity" is a show in the true spirit of the GFAs. Thabo offers stats, narrates stories, and conducts interview on this wonderful show. It deserves the GFA!

Scout Pawfoot
Scout Pawfoot: Scout has done so much good in working with YouTube creators outside of or strangers to the furry fandom. They are featured in “I Went Undercover to a Furry Convention” on the channel loveliveserve (8.5M subscribers, 813K views, and 42K likes) as well as “Do Furries Use a Litter Box?” On the channel SmoshAlike with Anthony Padilla (7.66M subscribers, 450K views, 24K likes). In both of these videos, scout does an outstanding job of being honest about the furry fandom while highlighting its strengths. They are a stellar example of an inclusive, personable, kind and open furry. Scout goes out of their way even to include other furries in their interviews to provide numerous perspectives on such an identity based fandom. Scout highlights the creativity, dedication and kindness of furries in all of their collaborations with YouTubers, so much so that she was able to get Rhino from loveliveserve to participate and show up in “suit” to a local meet. That’s how positive of a picture they paint of our community and how welcoming to outsiders they are. Everyone who interviews them leaves with respect and genuine intrigue about our lifestyle. Scout is also a fantastic role model to other furs. I met Scout for the first time at Furcationland 2025 in Portland, ME. After 10 years in the fandom, it was my first convention. I had visited scouts table in the dealer’s den and left with Scout having made my day. We talked for a while about the fandom, about our interests, about their work, and they were so generous as to let me touch and interact with their beautiful art. All of my nervousness melted away. It was such a kind thing to do for a complete and utter stranger. Scout paints a picture of us that non-furs deserve to and should see.

Scurrow Squirrel
Scurrow Squirrel: A force of creative positivity, and a wide array of expression. Photography, music, traditional mediums and more; Scurrow does it all. Their creativity and sheer eclectic array of stuff captures the fandom well. From experimental fursuit photo shoots to traditional mediums to albums, he possesses an assortment of talents. Plus, Scurrow has a good sense of humor and rolls with the punches of things quite well.
Shrapnel Vargr
Shrapnel Vargr: If you look up excellence in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of Shrapnel. He is one of, if not the most, awesome furry youtubers I know. He is super chill and not a fake personality like a lot of the others. He deserves some recognition for everything he did for Cardiff Furs during his time running our meets, especially on the fursuit walks where I've seen him confronting chavs and getting right between them and the fursuiters. He's always positive, always laughing, and always has a good story to tell from his decades in the fandom. His vest is pretty iconic too.

Sotalo
Sotalo: I am recommending Sotalo for a Good Furry Award for his exceptional contributions to the furry fandom through education, preservation, and positive representation, with the Virtual Furry Museum. Sotalo is the creator and curator of the Virtual Furry Museum in VRChat. The Virtual Furry Museum is a unique and immersive virtual world dedicated to showing the history of the furry community, and while it has been up for a couple of years, he is still adding elements to it! The museum serves as both an educational resource and a celebration of furry culture, history, and art.

With permission, careful research, and a genuine passion, Sotalo has ensured that significant milestones and figures, such as Mark Merlino (co-founder of the first furry convention) are honored and remembered. Before Mark’s passing, Sotalo worked closely with him to document invaluable stories and details about the early days of the fandom, preserving firsthand accounts that might otherwise have been missed by the new generation of furries. Before Mark Merlino passed away, Sotalo also created a section of the museum with a rich history of Mark's life in the furry fandom, and testimonials of the lives he's changed.

Beyond building and maintaining this virtual world, Sotalo actively brings furry history to life for thousands around the globe. He regularly gives guided tours of the Virtual Furry Museum, which has welcomed over 30,000 visits to date. He has also participated in interviews, panels, and presentations both in VR spaces and at a couple of conventions, consistently portraying the furry community in a positive, truthful, and welcoming light. Through these efforts, Sotalo has educated countless people; and strengthened our sense of community and pride. His work ensures that new generations of furries can appreciate how far the furry fandom has come, and how it has changed so many lives for the better.

For his dedication, vision, and invaluable contribution to preserving and celebrating furry culture, Sotalo truly deserves to be recognized with a Good Furry Award. Thank you for your consideration.

FURTASTIC AWARD

This award covers all those who do good things that do not easily fall into either the Image Award or Good Egg Award categories.
Doctor Onion
Doctor Onion: Doctor Onion has been a long quiet admirer of the furry fandom with side projects here and there under other aliases, but only recently has he stepped forth into the stoplight: specifically, the vibrant world of in-person entertainment within the community! Whether through casual conversation or his comedy game show panels (Such as Roguelive and Comical Con Men), Doctor Onion never fails to leave audiences hooting and howling with laughter and encourages everyone and welcomes anyone to come play. He goes above and beyond the status quo by offering thoughtful and often charitable grand prizes, making each performance not just fun but genuinely impactful. Beyond the stage, he's always seen bringing joy wherever he goes! Handmade gifts, side-splitting jokes, or wild whimsical stories are all on the menu! It's really hard to hold a frown down when he's around. All in all, in everything he does Doctor Onion showcases big ambitions and an even bigger heart. The passion and energy he pours into making random people smile at meetups is nothing short of extraordinary to witness. Though I may be his partner in crime, I have the unique privilege of seeing the behind-the-scenes effort and heart he puts into making it all happen (even if we have to debate at 12 a.m. on paint colors.

Mint Cashew
Mint Cashew is with no doubt the most favorite and inspiring furry artist for me! I enjoy their attention to detail, and with such detailed backgrounds, I love to take a minute to explore all the little details and inside jokes (which actually clears my mind a bit haha).  Cashew makes a positive impact on me and others through his work, and I believe that deserves some recognition.
